Hello,

I'am testing tac_plus-ng service with dns commands for reverse lookup nas ip-addresses in purpose of getting device hostnames in log file.
With configured dns parameters service crashes when NAS trying to authenticate user via tacacs.

tac_plus-ng -v output:
tac_plus-ng version ff188d261d729f56032b8aa64ed43b6ef6b93e7c/PCRE2/ARES

Please, see attachments:   tac_plus-ng.cfg, debug_output, syslog_output.

I've also saw this thread https://groups.google.com/g/event-driven-servers/c/3ccinIV5Gvk, but don't get any positive results after service updating.
Is there my misconfiguration?

Hi,

thanks for reporting that issue, the root cause was thankfully easy to
find: the IO context needs to be set before initializing the DNS code.
I've commited 30ec04b921bab750e3ac0cb5001097786ecd7870 which should fix
this.

Thanks,

Marc
