Hi and welcome to Evennia!
Glad to hear you like the code base and that you find it newbie friendly, that is very encouraging to hear (it's hard to determine this stuff once you've worked with a project for a while).
It sounds like a fun game world you are planning, I hope you find someone willing to help out. :) However, even if you don't plan to do the coding yourself, I recommend you nevertheless get a vague feel for Evennia's systems (this is actually a great way to get inspiration for your own variations) and start to consider the coding-resources your game is likely to need. There is a wiki page giving some hints
here. When you have as much of this stuff in place as you can, you are probably also more likely to be able to attract people to your project (heck, at that point you might even be able to put together some toy example systems of your own to demonstrate your ideas).
Good luck, and don't be shy to ask questions (here or in chat) if you wonder about anything.

Hello all,
First I'd like to say kudos to all those who have worked on and developed Evennia. It's probably one of the most elegant Mud codebases I've seen and is incredibly newbie friendly.
I've been kicking around the idea of creating a Mud based on a world I created called Robots and Zombies. The basic premise is that it is a post apocalyptic world in which humans have died out due to a zombie apocalypse despite the help in the war against the zombies they received from their robot creations. Now that all the humans are gone Robots have flourished and gained some to complete sentience, depending on the model. Now the world is populated entirely by robots and zombies.
My idea is to let the players choose to play either a robot or zombie (not all zombies are mindless in this world and in fact are as varied as robots are). I would also like the game system (character creation and combat) to be based on the TriStat dX rules using a d8 (for more info on TriStat see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-Stat_dX and
http://tristat.wikispaces.com/).
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me develop this Mud as I have little coding experience and even less experience with Evennia.
Thanks for reading and best of luck in all your Mudding adventures!
