FizzyGum is a very impressive piece of work, just from the sheer magnitude of what they attempted to accomplish.
However there is nothing easy about it. It is a huge collection of API's and since it uses JS as the base language it is hardly a next gen language system. JS is well known to be one of the worst languages ever devised, full of traps and ugliness. Yes it is dominant, and will remain so for some time, but so was COBOL dominant and persistent, and i don't see any flowers on COBOL's grave.
