Now that we have
ESI, getting accurate market data is easier than ever before. Gone are the days of distributing data scraped from client's caches. EMDR has served us all well in the past years and I think now might be a good time to think about what where we're heading next. I personally do not see much point in using EMDR for market data distribution anymore. I created a ready-to-use drop-in replacement for EMDR, which acts just like a relay would while streaming market data it got from ESI:
https://github.com/EVE-Tools/market-streamer This should make the transition for people with legacy infrastructure fairly simple. As long as nobody has any objections, I'm thinking about
shutting down EMDR by the
end of April 2017.
I would like to thank everyone who has volunteered time and resources to this project, especially Greg Taylor, EMDR's founder.
