Hello,

i´m using google spreadsheet and the function importxml(url, x-path) to get prices from eve-central.

That is working fine..for 5 minutes, after this i get the error "N/A" with the note "URL can´t be retrieved". A reload of the sheet doesn´t work.

Is this a restriction from eve-central, google or have i something missing?

The importxml is as follows:

URL
http://api.eve-central.com/api/marketstat?usesystem=30000142&typeid=34

X-Path
/evec_api/marketstat/type/sell/min

Thanks for help

I'll tag on to this that I'm having the same problem. I can use an import function to get a price, it will work (maybe) but once it stops working if I copy the xml function to a new spreadsheet it starts working again. Its almost as if the request has been blocked at the far side....ie...That eve central doesnt allow multiple requests in a short period of time.

I'm having the same issue how. Would love to see how to keep it working.

Thanks for the reports. I'm taking a look at the back end to make sure we're not excessively high in errors.

Since Google proxies all requests, if one too many requests fail for any reason, Google backs off/fails fast pretty aggressively on future fetches for a long time period.

I just created a sheet earlier today and it worked fine. I come back after a lunch break and this issue pops up. Please help.

This issue has been ongoing for quite a while now (since close to xmas). If you use the importXml function, the data will import just fine one minute, then return an error a few minutes later.

Steve Ronuken wrote a Google Script that will import the same data (but without the importXml function obviously). The code can be found here: Github Repo
