Hi guys.. Just wanted to see how everyone is doing and say I got a job. Not as an MT, but I’m excited to get back to work. I’ll be working for MedicAlert as an account specialist. I applied using my old resume (no MT stuff) which is all QA stuff. But the recruiter got very excited when I told her I had graduated from an MT program. She said it’s valuable experience to bring into the position. Apparently, part of their training includes medical terminology, etc. I don’t start until June 6. I just wanted to remind everyone to think outside the box with regards to what the MT training can mean. It never occurred to me that it would be applicable to my new position as an account specialist.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!!

Congrats Anna! I have not been looking for a job lately. I have had way to much going on personally. My mom was diagnosed with renal failure, due to her Alzheimer's, she was not eligible for dialysis. She was given less then a week to live. She was put on hospice, where we spent 12 days by her bedside before God called her home. She passed away last Sunday. So, as you can imagine I have been preoccupied. From the couple tests that I have taken with companies, not sure if MT is for me. We will have to see what happens. Good luck to everybody in their search!

Lisa, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I've been there - my mother died from ovarian cancer in 2001.  Please know that my prayers are with you and your family.  Take care.

I will add my prayers to Lisa’s. I’m so sorry for your loss.  What a blessing that you were able to be there with her. That must have been such a source of comfort.
