Hey all,

I didn't know how to title this one because it's such an odd topic.

So the body plugs in my rear quarter panels of my 65 Valiant 4 dr are pretty much rotted out and I wanted to replace them. Had water getting in there too that needed drained.
I made an order from DMT (Detroit Muscle Technologies) for a full set of body plugs just so I would have them... That being said. It didn't come with the one I needed for the quarter panel. I spoke to, I believe Jim over there, and explained my dilemma. He asked for pictures so I sent them to him of the old plug and the holes on the car.

He believed that most of the Mopar A-bodies of our vintage had the D shaped plugs with a drain tube in them. I'm not knowledgeable in this stuff and wondered if you guys could enlighten me with what your vehicles have and what you know of this stuff.

Below is a picture of what the two offending body plugs look like. The Right being the one I need in my Valiant and the left being what he sells in the kit.

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Ben

Yes, they don't sell the correct one, it's best to find old ones that can be used again.
The ones in my Lancer were still in good shape.

I suppose I should've have added, Jim over at DMT, is doing me a solid and sending me the correct ones at no charge. He also asked if I'd follow up with him after speaking to the group so he could correct the kit. It was slightly upset no one had ever called before. So that's why I turned here wondering if this was common among all our cars, whether it was oddly just mine.
