Step by Step Non-Start Guide?

My car has been sitting for several years and first issue was needing a new starter, so am able to get it turned over, but even with started fluid, not a sputter. Has anybody found a good step by step troubleshooting guide? I want to take a logical approach rather than just start randomly testing/replacing. 

318 / Auto with converted mopar ignition module.

Also, make sure you inspect or just replace the ballast resistor (cheap) and if it has been updated to an electronic ignition the ECU box.
