V8 Battery cable

I need help figuring out where the original v8 battery cable gets routed from the starter to the

relay and back to the positive terminal. Does it go over or above the exhaust pipe ? , does the cable to the battery

 run on the drivers fender along side of the rest under the white straps?, Where the wires seperate (Battery to relay)

where does  it run along the fire wall ?.

 

Pics would be great if possible.

The original v8 cable which is not available now as far as I know; ran along the inner fender under the white plastic straps to the firewall. It had a long wire which ran to the relay on the firewall. It split off near the firewall with the two wires down to the starter which ran under the exhaust manifold.

 

  Atlas obsolete parts offers a beautiful replacement cable which works, but is shorter than the original v8 cable. It drops to the starter about nine inches forward of the firewall and I used the modern black plastic slip on wrap to protect it from chafing on the inner fender.

Here is another source, and I think they sell it through Year One...

 

Everything from my bulkhead forward is brand new, when i did my Engine Rebuild, and these guys are awesome to deal with, extreme high attention to detail, and even gave me a battery cable FREE when i supplied my old one for them to use as a Dealer Sample (mine was an aftermarket Dealer Installed part number, not OEM, and they wanted a sample.)
