  EV Charging Access updates -

Oxnard – The new EVgo station at Freemont Square, 820 North Ventura Road (N of Doris Ave) is now in service. The four dual 350kW Delta Model EIDD-U350SSUUAEG units are up and running with vehicles getting charged on Saturday.

Santa Paula – The recently reported ChargePoint installation is in the parking lot behind the Glen Tavern Inn, 134 N. Mill St. There are two dual head Level 2 ChargePoint units. 9.6kW, $.45 to $.70 per kWh, TOU rates. Came online on May 29th. 24/7 access. Enter the parking lot from Santa Barbara Street.

Ventura - The existing Electrify America Station at the Pacific View Mall in Ventura underwent an equipment upgrade and is back in operation,,, 6 each 350kW units.

Also at the Pacific View Mall, out in front of the Red Robin, 3283 E Main St.

The Rivian Adventure Network station is online with 8 DCFC, 300kW (Shared).

$0.59 kWh for Rivian’s, $0.69 kWh Other Vehicles.

Does anyone have tips on other new stations?

Camarillo - Construction is underway on the mid-town Tesla Supercharger. Just east of Carmen Drive in the Camarillo Plaza, 1775 E. Daily Drive. Installing 24 each 325kW chargers, to be open 24/7. Still waiting for SCE transformers. This site has the potential to have ice issues due to the congested parking lot.

At the west end of town at the Outlet mall there is an addition Tesla Supercharger under construction with 20 each 325kW chargers being installed on the west side of Latitude 34 (near Panera & Chipotle. This station is much more dog friendly, has room for trailers (but no pull throughs) and much less chance of interacting with ICE.

It too is in SCE limbo and needs transformer installation.

Santa Paula – Under construction at the Fermentation House / Anna’s Cider, 111 N 8th St and Main. Two ChargePoint DCFC 62.5kW units, CHAdeMO / CCS ports. Thay are also installing a level 2 dual head 6.9 kW ChargePoint. There was no construction activity when I visited, will need some checking on status.

Ventura - The Electrify America Station at the Ventura County Credit Union on Telephone near Victoria is almost becoming a legend for its long wait time for commissioning. Perhaps we should schedule a picnic meeting this summer, just because… There was recent work with some construction equipment in place now on Saturday the equipment was gone.

Ventura Harbor Village EV Charging, the two new locations are now awaiting activation with 21 level two EVGateway units. SCE connection delay.

See you Tuesday Evening…
