HOT TOPICS –
The latest proposal (or at least one of them) from Capitol Hill is the BUILD America 250 Act, which includes a provision to establish a fixed-rate, adjustable EV Tax. $130 per BEV, #35 PHEV. With an automatic escalator in 2029 of $5. per year, till $150 / $50. This could potentially end up being double what a similar gasoline vehicle pays in fuel tax and road use fees.
It is a stab in our back as they try to bleed us for the benefit of the petroleum oligarchy.
Tell your Representatives in Congress and the Senate not to pass the EV provision.
Check out more information at https://win.newmode.net/pluginamerica/dontpunishevdrivers.
Your donation will help to make a difference.
Tell your assembly member to oppose AB 2748, which would eliminate existing EV charging requirements in new and affordable housing.
Join the Solar Rights Alliance. solarrights.org
The sun belongs to all of us. This organization fights for your rights. Support plug-in solar and stop the solar property tax.
🎯 News from Sacramento is that on the 10th, the bill to bring Plug-In solar to California unanimously passed its first vote in the Assembly Committee on Utilities and Energy. The bill is now headed to its second Assembly committee. When needed, please give it your support (I know it is like making sausage, but we do what we can).
A new member of our group offers a roadside delivery of electrons to get you and your EV to the nearest charger. A unique service to deal with range anxiety and that old feeling that the ”E” on the gauge stood for enough.
https://eeerescue.com We can discuss this more at the meeting.

As a side note, Cathy and I had a fantastic visit to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. On a scale from 1 to 10 it came in around a 12.
We saw many exotic species on the islands including marine iguanas, Galapagos tortoises, penguins, boobies and even BYD’s, Kias and an elusive Chevrolet Spark EUV.
