Greetings, Team,

       Hope everyone is looking forward to some relaxing, healthy and happy holidays.  Our next meeting is scheduled for January12th at 3:30 pm till 5:00 pm on Zoom.  See the link below.

At our last meeting we had talked about and agreed to review the Prosperity documents that Sean sent out right after the meeting.  One of the focuses for discussion is the Enterprise Zones and how the sustainability efforts are being managed.

      We can also look forward to updates from our Economic Development partners on the business registry plan and what's happening in Corvallis and the County.

       I can also give a brief report on an online course I am participating in that morning.  The workshop is called "Re-Writing Development Rules for Prosperity, Sustainability and Equity and is being conducted by George Washington University.  A description of the course;  "This short course (6 hours) examines the detrimental role of common economic incentives that inadvertently promote sprawl, economic decline (unemployment), inflated housing prices, and involuntary displacement - both gentrification and demolition by neglect. The stated goal for business leaders is to identify public policies that needlessly thwart the economic vitality of their community along with proven solutions implemented successfully in the US and around the world."
