Hi, Economic Vitality Action Team members,

I’m looking forward to seeing you at today’s meeting:

Economic Vitality Action Team Meeting

Wednesday, Jan. 31 – 12:30 to 1:30 pm

Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87459218743?pwd=Z3FjZHhMaUxtbU1ZMGdoL2VrY3MyQT09

The goal of our meeting is to identify which of the three Economic Vitality goals team members would like to focus on.

Here’s a proposed agenda:

1.     Introductions/Check-in question: What is one of your favorite local businesses and why?

2.     Brief review

a.     EV vision & goals

b.     Past & current projects

3.     Explore Individual interests/capacity

4.     Identify common areas of interest/potential projects

5.     Next steps

That’s a lot to cover in just one hour! If possible, please plan to enter the Zoom room a minute or two early, so we can start right at 12:30.

Thanks,

Annette

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.

Annette,  I apologize for the lateness in getting this request to you, however I was swamped with meetings and all the follow-up for my business until 1 this morning.

I would like to add an agenda item re: the Town Hall and Sustainability Fair and how we can portray the arts in them.

This is a result of meetings between myself and Kate, and Kate and Cynthia. May we have 10 minutes to discuss this year's theme (paraphrased) "The Economic Power of the Arts in Communities", and briefly address/open the discussion about each of the 3 Action Items for SC Goal 3 (pasted below for my reference) and how this could be addressed powerfully in both events?

Goal 3: By 2040, 100% of residents will engage in community networks that meet their needs while minimizing resource consumption.

Strategy 1: Support a thriving local arts and entertainment economy.

Action 1: Support opportunities for local artisans, craftspeople, and musicians to promote and/or sell their products and services.

Action 2: Attract a variety of artists of all disciplines.

Action 3: Utilize regional media to promote local arts and entertainment.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Adrienne

PLEASE NOTE | I am off Mondays - please do not be offended when I do not respond until late Tuesday or sometime Wednesday. It means nothing other than I took a self care day, and that my Tuesdays are filled with amazing networking, and now there's many a communication to which I get to joyfully respond, including yours! ;P

Hi, Adrienne,

Thank you for reaching out. Your suggested agenda item will fit well under agenda items 3 and 4. You have already defined your individual area of interest, which can include and extend beyond the Sustainability Fair and Town Hall.

See you in a few minutes!

Annette
