Hi, Economic Vitality Action Team,

Thanks to all who filled out the recent Doodle poll. Based on the results, let’s plan to meet as follow:

Economic Vitality Action Team Meeting

Wednesday, January 31, 2024

1:00 to 2:00 pm

As of now, the meeting will be via Zoom. I’ll send you all a meeting invite.

The agenda will include some updates and a discussion about team projects for this year. Please be thinking about how you would like to help our community move forward. To stimulate your thinking… the theme for this year’s Sustainability Town Hall (3/7/24) is “The Arts: Portal to Sustainability”. The inspiration and impetus comes from Goal 3, Strategy 1 of the Economic Vitality section of the Community Sustainability Action Framework (see attached).

Thanks,

Annette

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.

Arts connect us with our spirituality.

Also I notice one thing that benton county was thinking a new use for our courthouse might be the arts.
