Hi all,

St. Patrick's Month is upon us, and there's lots of great stuff happening in the area, so I've tried to put everything I'm aware of into one email. If I've missed something else that's happening, please let me know!

Irish Trad House Session - kids AND adults - hosted by fiddler June Crosby - Sat., March 7th.
5:00 pm for all kids | 7:00 pm for adults ‘til as long as you like
Where: June Crosby’s jam room, 510 Lacey Way, North Salt Lake (Lacey way is the extension of Center Street)

Bring your fiddle (guitar,mando,banjo,etc.). I will have drinks and snacks. More snacks welcome.
Please call/text for directions or questions - June Crosby 801-309-1446

SPECIAL EDITION Ogden Irish Trad Session / Potluck St. Patrick's Day Party - SAT., March 14th.
It's time for another Ogden Irish Traditional Music Session - St. Paddy's Day edition. I'm folding the session into our annual St. Patrick's Day party. We generally get a good-sized crowd turning up, and there's always an enormous amount of excellent food that people bring. Please bring a dish / snack / appetizer / libation to share, and bring your appetite!

Potluck begins at 6:00 p.m. | Music will begin around 7:30 p.m.

The session / potluck will be held at my house in Ogden (we get to play UPSTAIRS this time!): 1465 Mitchell Drive - it's close to the Weber State campus.  If you haven't been here already, let me know if you need directions (801-540-4540).

March Sessions at The Republican - Tues., March 10th; Tues., March 24th.
Just a reminder about the January sessions at The Republican, held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, 7:00 p.m.
917 State St, Salt Lake City. (must be 21 yrs. old to enter).

The session is typically anchored by Ross and Mary, two of the nicest people you'll ever meet and who have a vast repertoire or tunes between them. It's a very welcoming session, so drop in anytime.

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Siamsa - Saturday, March 14th - Salt Lake City
Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at 200 South & 500 East
Siamsa - Continue the festivities after the parade with a taste of live Irish music, dance & cuisine at the Siamsa, Salt Lake’s Celtic festival at the Gallivan Center at 239 South Main Street, following the parade. http://www.irishinutah.org/utah-st-patricks-day-parade/

An annual Utah tradition not to be missed!

Ceili at the Roundhouse Celtic Festival - March 20-21, Evanston, WY.
Just a short hop from SLC or Ogden, Evanston plays host annually to the premier Celtic music event in the region, featuring workshops and a stellar lineup of international and local talent. This year is no exception, as the featured bands include legendary trad bands Altan and Dervish (Ireland), the group Calan (Wales) and Cassie & Maggie (Nova Scotia), as well as some excellent regional performers. For details, go to https://theartsinc.com/celtic-festival/ and get thee to Wyoming.

Cheers,
Mark
