MESSAGE

What: Meet the Board of Education Candidates
When: Friday, May 8 - 7:00 pm
Where: Roy C. Ketcham High School Auditorium

On May 19, 2009, the Wappingers community will vote for three trustees of the Wappingers Central School District Board of Education. The Board of Education sets educational policies for the entire district.

Some of the Board's responsibilities include creating the annual school budget, hiring district superintendents and other administrators, and setting policies that impact enrollment, instruction, attendance, extra-curricular activities, and construction.

At “Meet the Candidates Night” you'll have the opportunity to learn where the candidates stand on issues facing our district. You can present questions that each candidate will respond to as moderated by a representative from the League of Women Voters.
