This update was released here on Wed 3rd Oct. Anyone who clicked on "Check for updates" or installed the update manually will have had it installed.

The update has now been pulled by Microsoft due to major issues affecting some people.

For most people it works fine, I have updated my 4 computers and 2 of EuroSCUG's to 1809 with no issues.

The problems:

  1.  ALL files in Documents and Pictures are permanently deleted during the update, AND on each restart following the update.  It appears that there is no way to recover the files unless you have a recent backup.
  2.  OneDrive not synching and not allowing deletion
  3.  No internet access by Edge or other Windows Store apps
Workaround: go to Settings > Networking & Internet > Network and Sharing Center, select the network adapter you're using (by clicking the appropriate link next to “Connections”) and select Properties.
On the Networking tab, select the checkbox next to Internet Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
Select OK to save your changes.
If that doesn't fix it, do a Network Reset
  4. Over-exertion of CPU causing lower battery life.
What a mess!!!
