Creatring Groups in Win 10 Mail

I was asked today how to create a mailing group in the New Windows 10 Mail.

To tell the truth I'm blowed if I can find any way to create a mailing Group, in fact I can't even find a contacts link at all.

Maybe there is a big white button somewhere that I can't find but what sort of mailing system would omit a contacts option.

 I can see if you start to put in an email that it will show address options but hang on what if I want to change/delete/etc to any of them? This is a real doozy, I think Microsoft has really outdone themselves on this one.

The only way I can find to work around this problem is to create a list of emails addresses in Notepad with each separated by a semi colon and then copy and paste it into the To: in a new email. Don't forget to save the list...

Maybe with the next upgrade we'll go back to the putting pieces of paper into envelopes level!

How to add a group to Mail app Windows 10

Start the People app, and add a new contact called "My Group" (or whatever)

In the Personal email box, list all the email addresses you want in the group separated by a comma (no spaces!!) - eg "fr...@hotmail.com,j...@gmail.com".  Save.

To send an email to that group, Start the People app, highlight My Group then click "Email Personal" in the right pane and choose "Mail", then OK. The Mail App will open and (if you only have one account) a new email will appear.  If you have multiple accounts you need to select the account..
