Hi all,

Sweden this year (well done guys, seems to be really nice tournament coming!) and Italy next year, but are there any plans beyond that for EPC?

I'm not saying that Finland would be willing to organize the tournament in 2015, but if there aren't any other plans, I could at least start a conversation in our Finnish forum to ask about it.

PS. ifpaitalia.it says the EPC2014 dates are March 21-23. Are these dates definite? That's only a week before tentative schedule of Pinburgh 2014, so not the best but at least not colliding with the dates.

See you all in Sweden this September!

Hi!

Will Barber expressed thoughts about running EPC in the UK again. So I guess Finland and UK should talk to each other.

I'm already looking forward to EPC in Italy - and to the San Marino tournament. It's one of the last European countries that I have yet to visit, and now I have a valid reason! ;)

I know our tentative plans are to return to the UK for IFPA12 in 2015.

Any time there's a chance to plan the EPC and IFPA in back-to-back weekends, I think that's a huge win for the player base to be able to take one trip and play in two of the biggest tournaments this sport has to offer.

IFPA dates are always flexible enough to be able to make that work.

Josh, I think you're missing a point here. Of course it would be nice if both tournaments would have the strongest field possible.
But if these tournaments will be held in back-to-back weekends, I'm sure that a lof of European (top) players would have to make a choice between these two events, because they don't have the possibility to go to both. Especially because both tournaments will be played in "extended" weekends including Friday.
Although I'm not against US players playing in EPC, I don't think it should be a goal itself. EPC should first of all be a tournament where all European top players go to. If EPC and IFPA shouls really be played in back-to-back weekend, I think you will devaluate both tournaments ( or maybe just EPC if most players choose for IFPA).

Btw, I would prefer Finland for 2015, but that's really only because they haven't organized it yet.
