This
is a temporary solution (due lack of time on my part, since I've been
busy with other projects). This works by creating Europass XML v2,
sending it to Europass web service to transform it into Europass XML v3
and then generating appropriate file (PDF, DOC, ODT).

Ok, you can use the conversion service for the time being, it's not going away any time soon. For the benefit of other readers here, please inform us as soon as you manage to upgrade the Mahara plugin to natively produce Europass XML v3.

to Europass Interoperability
New version of Europass plugin for Mahara has just been released.
It works on Mahara 16.04 and 16.10 and it supports Europass XML Schema version 3.3.0.
