Hi,

I tried to run the quickstart example (Light) on a windows 32bit and linux 64 bit target, both without success.
In both cases I downloaded the binaries + static libraries and followed the install instructions.

Here are my problems/findings:

On windows (win 7 32 bit):

- The binaries are compiled in Visual Studio debug configuration, hence require a debugCRT of VS2008, which
required me to install the entire VS2008 package! (How about building it as release, then I could simply use
  the small VS redistribution package?)

- Running ant in the Light directory gives me the output as attached (01.png).

On linux (xubuntu 14.04 64 bit):

- Running ant in the Light directory gives me the output as attached (02.png).

I highly appreciate your help, because I am very much interested in using europa-pso. My preferred
platform is Linux.

Thanks
Artur

Artur, thanks for your interest in (and patience with) Europa!

From the images, it looks like perhaps you don't have libantlr3c in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH on Linux (or the Windows equivalent).  You'll need that to get one of the non-static builds to work.  You can check it out and build it yourself from the ANTLR repository or it's available from our ThirdParty repository here: https://code.google.com/p/europa-pso/source/browse/ThirdParty

Note that the Google Code site has been archived and will eventually go away.  Most of what's on there has been migrated to GitHub.

Regarding the Windows build, we haven't had a Windows machine to build on since shortly after the binaries were posted.  I'm upgrading the build system to use CMake, so hopefully Windows builds will become more common, but my preferred platform is Linux, too.  I'm not looking forward to having to deal with the various VS CRT versions.
