For months I�ve been hearing rumors from Eurocircle�s Italians about South Philly�s most authentic Abruzzese cuisine, but nothing prepared me for what I tasted in Chef Luciana�s kitchen. If you can�t fly to Abruzzi to experience its flavors in person, then join Eurocircle for what is destined to be our most memorable culinary experience to date.
We�ll get to know Le Virtu�s owners Francis Cratil Cretarola and Catherine Lee and hear what inspired the creation of this rustic trattoria. We will meet Massimo, a transplant from the town of Colonnella, in the Teramo province of Abruzzo, who will take us on a tour of Le Virtu�s smoking room where he cures the country�s finest smoked meats and sample cured salsiccia cacciatore sott'olio, salsiccia sbalmabile, and home made pancetta. Finally, we�ll say hello to the legendary Chef Luciana who will prepare a delicious tasting from her highly acclaimed menu.
Not to be missed is Le Virtu�s take on the Eurotini, inspired by Italy�s favorite liqueur Limoncello!
