Hi all,

This might not be the proper place to post an article about Euro
Currency, but I thougt maybe there are people around who are working on
this problem.

I like to know any sites related to solving the Euro Currency conversion
problem. Or any information related to this problem.

You can e-mail me or reply to my posting. I do speak Dutch and English.

Thanks in advance,

Adnan

PS: My apologies if I posted in not relevant newsgroups.

Why do you call the Euro Currency a PROBLEM?
What exactly is the question and what has to be solved...
The conversion from the old money into to new perhaps. Well the Euro
as a currency exist allready during many years and it has each day its
price just like a dollar and a mark and a pound do have so. That is
nothing new, nothting to be solved.
On the coming D-day all account-money (savings on the bank etc) will
be expressed in Euro to the price the Euro will be that same day. And
some years later all the other money of the Euro-countries, in just
the same way. I do not see anything that people can call a problem.
There have been allways persons who kept there savings in p.e. US
dollars or Swiss francs instead of in their own currency.
Could you perhaps state precisely your question or problem again???

Hallo,

Ik was misschien niet erg duidelijk. Mijn excuses.

I did not mean the Euro currency is a problem. What I meant was that
I like to know sites or any other information that deals with conversion
from a national currency (Guilder) to Euro currency in software
applications. As you know every company bills its customers in Guilders.
In 1999 all the companies should also put the Euro amount in their bills
(giraal betalingsverkeer). In 2002 the Guilder will be replace by the
Euro completely, thus the software applications companies are using should
be modified in order to handle this change-over.
Maybe there are people around dealing with is, like investigating the scope
of the changes in the software, or any tools they know that could be used,
etc. Maybe there are discussiong groups, or sites concerning National
currency to Euro currency transition/conversion in software applications.

Vriendelijke groeten/Kind regards,

Adnan

(Vandaag

Willy Haars.-

Hi Adnan,

Yes we do have a problem! Like the year2000 problem, ("just add to
digits") all companies and persons dealing with money in some way have
to take action to keep things working. I'm sure the banks are aware of
it and also larger companies like the one I'm working for (PTT-Telecom
- The Netherlands)

I would like to create a new newsgroup/ maillist to have an open
discussion, prefarably for all UE countries to see how we can help
each other by exchanging information and ideas about thing to be done
to have the euro conversion implemented.

Regards,
Arthur

Hallo,

Nee, mijn vraag was gericht
Daar meeste bedrijven software applicaties

Groeten,

Adnan
