I have followed many suggestions about reversing the polarity on the eprom but not matter what I do it isn't working right. When the LED is lit up on my selected pedal number the corresponding virtual stomp box is off, and when the light is off the stomp box is on. This all seems like a reversed polarity issue, but no matter the setting (0-1) it stays the same.

Any suggestions?

Sorry you're having issues.

Let me repeat the problem back to you to make sure I got it straight:
  • You're using a EurekaPROM-enabled FCB1010 in the PP Configuration with Amplitude
  • The on/off polarity for effects is reversed
  • Even when you program it* to invert the polarity, it's still backwards
[programming step]
4. Choose Pedal LED polarity.  Options are normal (CC#:v0 = off/CC#:v127 = on), or inverted (CC#:v127 = off/CC#:v0 = on).
    1. The 7-segment display will show “LE”
1.Use the UP/DOWN pedals to select “0” for normal or “1” inverted
            1. Press pedal 5 to lock in that selection.

Is that accurate?

I'm having the same problem now. Just bought and installed the new EEPROM. Interestingly, when I toggle the LED polarity setting, nothing seems to change. The FCB's behavior is the same no matter what the LE setting is in setup; the LEDs on the FCB are inverted from the state of the pedals in Amplitube. I would expect it to change how the pedal LEDs work (going from flashing to off instead of flashing to on) but that is also unchanged.

In case it's relevant, I'm using Amplitube 5 as a plugin within Ableton Live.

Happy to provide photos, a screencast, etc. if that would be helpful. I can play well enough for now since the behavior is consistent, but it's definitely not ideal to have to remember "LED on = pedal inactive".

Sorry you're having an issue with the LED polarity.

A couple of things to note about programming the PP configuration:
  • It only affects the PP configuration. In other words, programming the PP configuration won't change anything in other configurations. (That's not related to the inverted LEDs, just something that many miss)
  • LED polarity is for all pedals in the PP configuration EF mode - it's global.
To change the polarity only:
  • You end up hitting pedal 5 a bunch - treat it like "enter" on a computer keyboard. Keep pressing it until you see "LE" on the FCB1010 7-segment display.
  • Then press the UP pedal - the display should read "1" - then press pedal 5 to enter it.
  • Then keep pressing pedal 5 until you reach the end of the programming, where you'll be placed into EF mode of the PP configuration. At that point, the change will be saved in the FCB1010 memory.
You can see a video of programming here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZrfG2SZNQg - nothing has changed in the programming process since version 2.

Hope that helps!
