FCB 1010 EurekaProm V.2 with Nerural DSP Nano Cortex

Hi. I bought a FCB 1010 EurekaProm V.2 to control Neural DSP Nano Cortex. I Programed FCB in PP mode and use EP mode (Pedal 1-5 effects on off, Pedal 6-10 Presets). I connect FCB to Nano Cortex with a midi trs type a cable and nothing happens.

But if i connect FCB to my audio interfaces midi in (Axe I/O One) and interface midi out to Nano Cortex (with same midi trs type a cable) and make the interface midi thru BOOM... It works as it should.

What is the problem that makes FCB - Nano not communicate directly?

Did you enable MIDI TRS on the Nano-Cortex? https://neuraldsp.com/manual/nano-cortex#Incoming-MIDI-Support
It's off by default.

Hi Dave. Yes, on Nano Cortex MIDI TRS is enabled. I can sent PC-CC messages with other footcontroller (M vave midi chocolate) with TRS cable, i can send PC-CC messages thru my audio interface with FCB1010. Nano Cortex is on midi channel 1 and I programed FCB 1010 on CH1

I was stumped on this for a bit, but I have a guess now: the TRS-to-5-pin MIDI adapter is the wrong type.

The M Vave Chocolate has the TRS jack built in, correct? So that connection is TRS-to-TRS. From the FCB1010 we have a 5-pin MIDI connector. Before TRS became a standard for MIDI, there were a couple of different wirings available. I'm guessing you might have the alternate wiring?

I am sure i have the correct Midi - TRS Type A cable but i bought another high quality cable (Adam Hall Cables) but no thing changed.

I can sen Midi messages thru my Audio Interface with both cables:

FCB 1010 to Audio Interface Midi In - Audio Interface Midi Out with 5 Pin Trs Type A to Nano Cortex works perfectly.

When I connect FCB 1010 to Nano Cortex, only expression pedal send some sort of CC messages (not covering 0-127) 

Do I need a midi thru box? I can't figure out what is the problem

I bought a midi thru box (Nektar Midiflex4) and the problem is solved.
