Hi everyone,
I’m new to the Kemper world. I have a Kemper Profiler Head (with Power), and I’m also new to the Behringer FCB1010 with the EurekaPROM v3.2 chip.
From what I understand, the Browse mode on the Kemper is meant for when I’m playing around in front of the computer — I can activate and deactivate effects freely. The Performance mode, on the other hand, is more for live use, where each of the five footswitches represents a different preset. So far, that part makes sense to me.
Now, here are my questions:
1️⃣ First question:
When I’m using the Kemper in Performance mode together with the FCB1010, I see that the FCB1010 has different modes such as PR (presets), FX, Special, and Favorite.
I’d like to understand better how these relate to each other — should all of them be used for both Browse and Performance modes, or are some specific to one mode only?
2️⃣ Second question:
With the current Kemper firmware (mine is fully up to date), does the two-MIDI-cable setup still work properly for LED status feedback on the FCB1010?
I tried connecting both cables, but it created what I’d call a loop effect: the FCB1010 would send a signal to the Kemper, then get the same signal back and resend it repeatedly. The result was that the Kemper’s display started flashing, with all the buttons blinking.
So I’d like to know if this dual-MIDI-cable setup is still recommended and whether it works in every mode.
3️⃣ Third question:
Does the Kemper Looper function also work with the FCB1010 (EurekaPROM v3.2)?
I haven’t been able to get it to work so far.
Thanks in Advance,
Bruno
