I'm sweating, shaking, and incredibly frustrated from all the prying energy I've attempted to put into removing this chip, and I just can't do it.  It's not coming loose at all.  I can't get any good leverage on it, and I can't seem to wedge my screwdriver tip between the chip and the female connector it's plugged into.  I didn't want a EurekaPROM chip in the first place, and I bought my pedal used from a seller who did not tell me (and did not know) that there was a EurekaPROM chip in there.  I am trying to remove it, and failing completely.  Is it normal for it to be this insanely difficult to get it out?  If I keep prying as hard or harder than I have been I just know I'm going to break something, and then I'm going to be really upset.  Does anybody have experience removing both a Eureka chip that they no longer wanted in there, and an original firmware chip?  If so, is the Eureka chip normally harder to remove than the original?  I can't find much discussion or any youtube videos of people removing a Eureka chip, but all the videos I've watched of people removing the original chip make it look SO MUCH EASIER than this is being for me.  Nothing I've tried is working or loosening it at all.  Getting very frustrated and need help please.

The physical EPROM is the same as the original Behringer PROM/UnO - only the code loaded on it is different. So, it shouldn't be any harder to remove. In fact, it should be easier, because Behringer puts hot glue on top of the PROM - sometimes insane amounts of hot glue!

The trick it to make sure the screwdriver isn't getting caught under the center bar of the EPROM socket. (search 28-pin eprom socket in google images) Try to insert the flathead screwdriver blade as parallel to the EPROM as possible.
