A question for the group:

Might it be worth giving people the option to:

(1) endorse the text of the current open declaration, and/or

(2) endorse the principle of an open declaration

It's probably reasonable to assume that support for (1) includes
support for (2); however, as the current text is drawn to the
attention of more people over the next month, it's possible that the
set of people who support (2) but not (1) might be significantly
larger than the set of people who support (1) and (2).

Both data sets are potentially valuable in Malmo -- and (2) might be a
simpler statement for a large number of people to commit to quickly
online.
