Corruscate, scintillate, globule vivific,
Fain would I fathom your nature specific.
Loftily poised in the ether capacious,
Strongly resembling a gem carbonaceous.

Knowing that the oldest jokes are the best, I submit a
version of a poem I learned as a child.
-------

Scintillate scintillate diminutive asteroid,
How I conjecture the nature of your existence,
Elevated superior sphere terrestrial;
Resembling a gem carboniferous celestial.

Oh come now! This doesn't even rhyme lines 1 and 2. And
`carboniferous' ??

Here's my Dad's version -

Scintillate, scintillate, globule vivific,
Fain would I ponder thy nature specific,
Loftily poised in ether capacious,
Strongly resembling a gem, carbonaceous.

Pedantically,

Helen.

Excellent. You father too must be a carbonaceous gem himself.
