50/50 Night at Bailonga: Special Guest Instructors Olivia Teixeira and Fernando Lima
I am so excited to welcome Olivia Teixeira and Fernando Lima back to Bailonga! This year, their visit to Bailonga will be in two parts. This first week, they will teach the intermediate lesson, on the topic of Opposition Dynamics (ochos in parallel system) as interpretation for Romantic Tangos, at 7PM. The lesson is intended to be all levels but there will be a beginner teacher on hand in case of any brand new folks.
But unlike previous times we've had them teach the lesson, this week we'll stick to our typical, low-key 50/50 format at $7-10 price point. It will be the *following* week that we'll bring out the refreshments and traditional music for our special 3-hour milonga (details to come). We'd love to see you at both events!
Olivia and Fernando are Brazilian tango artists, choreographers, teachers and directors with a thirty-year career that claims several esteemed titles and awards. They currently live, teach and perform in Buenos Aires. They are founders of the EsTudo Tango method, producers of the EsTudo Tango International Congress in Buenos Aires and co-authors of the book “Themes of Argentine Tango - Argentina and Brazil.” You can find many of their acclaimed courses online under the names “Estudo Tango.” They are some of our favorite guests so we're so excited to have them back!

Reminders:
-Masking is not required but encouraged, and there will always be masks and hand sanitizer available at the front desk.
-Due to recent thefts at the Vet's Club and in the parking lot, it's recommended that you keep your valuables close by. You're welcome to store them by the stage or behind the divider for extra security.
-No street shoes, please ~ they can damage the floor. Please bring clean non-marking footwear such as dance shoes or sneakers. Thanks!
-A 30-minute desk shift gets you in for free! First come first served to sign up for shifts, but there are virtually always open slots available.
-Please avoid fragrances/perfumes. Some of us are allergic. Thank you!
