Greetings dear tangueros:

Hope you are all doing well. Here a series of announcements for the month of November and December.

As announced last week I will be in Buenos Aires from November 11th. Back in Eugene the 24 of December. 

As always our experienced team will continue all the traditions of our Sunday offering. Classes and Milonguita.  Rafael, Rory and Clarence will be in charge of setting up the music for the Milonguita

Deanna will continue with the classes based on our emphasis in form as the matrix to the movement and the dance. With special emphasis in close embrace.

Sandra, Mary,  Patty and Greg  keep everything running smoothly from setting, opening and closing to greeting you with a smile. 

And all of you that make every Sunday joyful and happy with your attendance and participation.  

I will continue to send the weekly  announcement spiced by whatever I am doing, which as you can imagine is dancing every day and night, but also researching trends within the dance and what is new in comparison to other years.

 I have been traveling to Buenos Aires since 2000 (my first trip) and many more followed that year. My last one was in January 2023.

  

Now into another subject.

TANGO CLOTHING EXCHANGE

Last week I also mentioned the  tango Clothing exchange led by Sandra & Mary. Date of event. Next Sunday, the 16th of November .

Here some additional information: bring tango-like clothing that you would like to give away, take some left by others that you may like. If you don’t have any to bring, no worries, you can still get whatever you want from the exchange. 

If there is an item that you would like to sell. Please label it by writing your name and the price, so if there is someone interested they will go directly to you. At the end of milonguita please take back what is left from what you brought if you choose to leave any items, It will be collected and delivered at goodWill.

NEW YEAR PARTY- ALL INVITED, Wednesday, December 31st 2025.

We have gotten permission from the River Road administration to hold the 2026 new year party at the annex (our usual Sunday space) As you may remember from the last two years, the park’s policy for usage of our facility is only allowed until 10pm. We have been able to work around that by having an after party which graciously Patty and Steve have hosted for the last two years and are volunteering this year as well. So, the proposal at this moment is that the Tango party begins at 7 pm and ends at 10 pm at the annex.  Then head for warm soup, a variety of appetizers, tapas, champagne, wine, conversation, laughter etc. until midnight and welcome the new year surrounded by tango friends. If you are interested in the after party please comunícate with Patty and let her know. 

 For the 7-10pm tango dancing we ask that if possible wear  outrageous and festive outfits. No jeans please. 

We want to keep it minimalistic in its approach. We will provide some non alcoholic drinks, a beautiful quiet setting and some chocolate on the tables and my selection of beautiful traditional tangos. Why be alone when you can be dancing tango!

And yes, Sunday that week will happen as usual!
