Traditional Night: First Bailonga of 2026 w. DJ Clarence!

We're back! Did you miss us? For the first Bailonga of 2025, we're kicking things off with a very special Traditional Night with DJ Clarence Griffin for his first time DJing at Bailonga! Clarence has received wonderful reviews from DJing at the Milonguita and he had this to say about his experience DJing thus far:

"At first, tango music all sounded the same to me. I struggled with where to put my feet; the music was just background sound. Once the foot issue was resolved, I began to hear the music and realized that I enjoyed hearing it, feeling it. I spent 2 years studying tango music recorded between the late 1920’s and the late 1950’s. In August, I DJ’d a small milonga in Alaska. Since then, I’ve played the music for 3 milongas and a practica in Eugene. I love the music and love sharing it with fellow dancers."

So make sure to give him a warm welcome in the Ballroom this Wednesday. We will also be having our typical simultaneous lessons at 7PM, and Robin Chapell is teaching the intermediate lesson on the topic of "Cross Cross Everywhere!" Access the cross into and out of a moment. Study includes foot position for optimal control, an exercise for body alignment at the moment of weight transfer, and a figure for context! Galen will be restarting the beginner series class making it a perfect time to get your start or bring a new friend to tango.

See you on the dance floor!
