Traditional Night at Bailonga: Special Guest DJ Erik O'Banion

Special Guest DJ Erik O'Banion will be making the trip down from Portland to DJ for traditional night this Wednesday!

Erik started his tango dancing journey in Eugene back in 2003, and while he's known for his alternative DJing thanks to the events he's hosted over the years, his last traditional set at Bailonga was one of my favorites, and he was one of the DJ's at Portland Valentango 2024. I believe he really has a way of making traditional music sparkle!

Rick Roman will be teaching the intermediate lesson and experienced dancers will want to catch this class because starting April 22nd, all our instructors are switching to teacing a Continuing Beginner class and dropping the intermediate classes.

Reminders:
  • Masking is not required but encouraged, and there will always be masks and hand sanitizer available at the front desk.
  • Due to recent thefts at the Vet’s Club and in the parking lot, it’s recommended that you keep your valuables close by. You’re welcome to store them by the stage or behind the divider for extra security.
  • No street shoes, please — they can damage the floor. Please bring clean non-marking footwear such as dance shoes or sneakers. Thanks!
  • A 30-minute desk shift gets you in for free! First come first served to sign up for shifts, but there are virtually always open slots available.
  • Please avoid fragrances/perfumes. Some of us are allergic. Thank you!
