Greetings tangueros;

We are ready for another Sunday of tango.

Buenos Aires have many tango competitions during the year. The most important being the worldwide tango competition known in Spanish as Mundial de tango with the two category: Tango de Pista (dance floor)  and tango escenario (stage tango) 

 

During the year there are many small competitions previous to the mundial. 

The one below was created two years ago, in 2023 called  milongueros del Mundo (someone who goes to the milonga, loosely associate with dancing in close embrace.

The  link below takes you to the final part of the competition when they choose the 5 finalists. (They have been competing for 12 days to get to this final moments.

Check it out. Watch it several times before the final segment.  See if you can identify movements that you are already familiar-hint- by looking at the feet of the follower, you can guess in most cases what type of movement being led by the lead.  

 Check their connection and music interpretation.  Pick your favorites (the winners will be announced in  the last segment of the video.)The judges take in consideration everything; form, precision, navigation musicality etc. There are 3 songs and then the final decision of the judges, check if you pick up any of the 5 couples that ended winning.
