Okay, so we've taken a break and I thought maybe we should start
meeting again. We have a few new members now and it would be good to
get back together and see what everyone is doing. How about it? I
like the idea of just meeting once a month....at least during the
summer.

Should we meet next Thursday?

I won't be able to make it next Thursday, but I agree it would be nice to start meeting again. Until the 17th my schedule is insane so don't worry about trying to make a meeting in the next two weeks I can make.

Thursdays aren't good for me.
Do we have a social networking page with all the members in one place? It would be fun to have our shops linked together online to see who I'm talking to and to mass promote. Maybe facebook?

How would we do it on f.b.? to keep it separate from our personal
stuff?

I think to create a fb page someone has to be the facilitator. I'm pretty new to the team so I don't feel like I should be the one to do that. There is a PDX team page http://www.facebook.com/PDXEtsyTeam

We could decide as a group on a username and password to start a new account just for the group? Maybe. We would also need an email. Maybe it's better if one person starts it. This would be a good meeting topic.

There page is more like a group or a business page than a personal page as I have the ability to add it to the Bliss page and I wouldn't if it was a person.
To create a page you don't need a new account you can found the page and then add other admins.
The pages you admin are not publicly tied to you account.
I think this is a good meeting topic and something we need to think long and hard about as I don't want it to go the way of the blog-aka never being used... I don't know how many of you are aware of what I do but I run all the social media for Coconut Bliss and have been to a few conferences lately that really drove home the point that you shouldn't start something because you can... you need to have a purpose being the page or feed...
Anyways side rant aside if we are going to talk about this I feel like I have a lot to add to the conversation, but I don't want to be the initial admin on the page as that person can never be removed from the page.

I love the pdx site :) but don't have the tech skills to set something like that up and, to be honest, don't have the time to oversee something like that.  That said, I do think it's a great idea...

Definitely something to talk about.

It really doesn't take much. I already have a Banyan Tree page. I am not sure if I can have more than one, but I would be willing to set one up. I'm better at that than keeping posting. I will check it out later. Do you just want to call it the Eugene Etsy Group? (EEG)? Maybe one of the talented people could come up with a sort of logo. That might be nice. Between running 2 businesses, I am a little pressed for time, but I can see what I can do. I love the idea.

I like the logo we have on the abandoned blog, we might be able to tweak it for facebook.
That being said I spend so much time on facebook for work that I don't even have a page for my own shop... so I have no interest in running another page.
