Would you guys be up for meeting up again on Sunday 7/12? Whether you say yes or no that's understandable. If no, I'll assume the group will meet online for now.

I'm not sure, I'll think about it. I would like to get back to playing real games eventually...

I believe the Corvalis club is meeting online in KGS, on Wednesdays.

Maybe we would be able to meet up in one of the city parks, if you're thinking in person. Otherwise for now, maybe it would be good to set up a day and time when we would meet online on KGS. Or, possibly even figure out a way to meet twice a week.

That's an interesting idea. Outside would be better... Still, I think I'm gonna keep training on my own for the time being. I'll keep a lookout for the future.

Ok, that's fine. Shall we try to figure out a day and time to meet online for now? As a club. Or maybe even, meet twice a week?

Well, we can make a club room. I haven't heard from the other guys recently though, not sure what they are up to. I can't play on KGS, they are now desktop only afaik. I have been using OGS as it is pretty mobile friendly. If you have another idea I am down.

Ok. Sounds good to me for us to make a club room on OGS. Haven't tried the OGS site yet, but I'm up for giving it a try. I'm guessing that some of the other guys would join. Since, last time I checked I think this conversation that we're having had 10 views. Do you know how to make a club room on the site?

Those 10 views could just be us... It looks like on OGS there is already a Oregon Go Players. I tried to make "Eugene Go Club" but it doesn't work. We could just piggy back on the Oregon players, or make a Southern Oregon Club?

Yeah, those views could be just the two of us. Ok. If you have a preference on one of those two options, then let's go with that one. If not, then let's make a club room on the site. That would work, to make a "Southern Oregon Club". Why don't you try that and then let me know if it works?

I'm here, prob available for some digital go stuff, and in person eventually.

I'd say either just expand on the Oregon group, or make a Eugene specific one, since we're not in southern Oregon.

Dang, I need to look at maps more... But, Eugene feels so far south of Portland and Salem, do we have to use linear measurements? Population or something would work...

Anyways, I'll experiment more with OGS. Maybe I can get a Mod to approve "Eugene" as not a bad word... I will return with more info.

Nice, so far that would be three of us Go players who can meet online. While technically we are not in Southern Oregon, I can understand why it feels like we(being in Eugene) are so far South from Portland and Salem. Maybe instead of using linear measurements, they could use something else. It would make it easier for more people probably. Sounds good.

Haha, it's all good, being a little assertive worked. It seems the dev can change the group name and bypass the troublesome auto censors. The link should be: https://online-go.com/group/6435 It should be fixed to "Eugene/Springfield" if that works for everyone. I'm not sure what all can be done in the group yet, but everyone should be able to join.

Apparently "Eugene" is an offensive word (honestly... I find that filter to be rather offensive...)

I created a "Eug, OR Go Club" you can use for now, if you want.

Nevermind, just saw the previous post, so I'll disable/delete the secondary group. :)

Nice, that you figured out the filter thing. Filters can be very picky. Shall we pick a day & time to meet as a club, then. There at the club room each week?

Sounds good to me. What works for everyone? My schedual is somewhat up in the air atm, so it depends more on you all.

The e-go Congress is currently happening, so we may need to wait a second to start. I'm not sure though, is anyone here participating in that?

Otherwise, everyone should get familiar with OGS and join the group at https://online-go.com/group/6435

My schedule is pretty open for now. Is the e-go Congress the equivalent of the FIDE in chess, but for Go? If any of you guys have a preference on when the club meets then let's go with that. Otherwise, I can mention some possible days and times.
