A person you don't want to receive from can be filtered out. Maybe
somebody from OPN can send us the instructions about how to do that.
I wouldn't filter him out, but you can if you want to.

I agree. Think positive Bernie, many people might join your e-mail
list and read your posts!
I think some folks such as Bernie and Michael P suspect that if they
created their own e-mail list then only a handful of people would
ever join it.
Only one way to find out.....
Michael, how about offering the option to people on the local
activists e-mail list to join your e-mail list, or not, AS THEY SO
CHOOSE?
Also, in all of your posts I never remember seeing you include an
easy way for people to subscribe -- or unsubscribe -- to your e-mail
list.
I run an e-mail human rights list with over 2,500 folks -- all of
whom want to be on the list. My humble advice, is that one needs to
include information about how to join a list.
I guess Paul Harrison -- who owns local_activists list -- has
apparently made the decision not to moderate this list, so others
have kind of taken it on as their own.
I once asked if anyone on this list wanted to work together on some
new local activists discussion lists -- so I'll ask again... if
anyone's left on here. I know Scott is interested.

Trish--good to see you tonite.
I too read Bernie's postings, hoping that he has once again contributed to
the local activist scene--like he did when he transcribed flyers posted to
the free speech wall down near New Day. But so often, they weren't about
local activism, which is what I believe the Local Activist list is about.
I am aware of the possibility of filtering out individual's e-mailings,
although I don't know how to do it. But I cring at the idea of doing
this--what if Bernie has something to say about local activism, and I never
read it because of a filter?
Maybe I'm old fashioned, but why can't Bernie just use some
self-discipline, and post local activist info to the Local Activist list?
Or, create his own list to send stuff not related to local activism out to?
Why is it up to me to basically censor him from my version of the Local
Activist list?
