Hello from sunny North Carolina! I have been "lurking" here for about a
year. As a first year homeschooling parent, I have certainly enjoyed the
threads, advice and feedback of other homeschoolers.

I currently use Abeka curriculum with my 7th grader. In public school,
he was in "academically gifted" classes and the Abeka studies certainly
seem to be on that level. Next year, my daughter will join him in
homeschooling as she enters middle school. She is an intelligent child,
but her comprehension level is average, not high enough to be considered
academically gifted. I am a little concerned that the Abeka curriculum
may be "too" challenging for her. I was recently introduced to a very
affordable curriculum published by Alpha Omega Publications. Is anyone
familiar with this curriculum or it's counterpart, Bridgestone Academy?
Is it an easy, average or advanced course of study? Are they well-known?
After completing this course of study, could a student pass a
college-entrance exam? Also, would it be too easy for my son? So many
questions...!!

In your opinion, should I just stick with the Abeka curriculum with the
idea that maybe it WILL be challenging enough to INCREASE her
comprehension?
