Dear All:
Jody asked for input on the Winter Homeschooling Workshop that's being
put on by Basic Skills Assessment in February in the Portland area.
I went 2 years ago and enjoyed it very much. Of special interest to me
was Scope and Sequence, and Assessment Test resources. However, there
was also the usual compliment of vendors. The workshops were varied and
informative, and I found that the day went quickly because my interest
level remained high. The biggest complaint I have is the time of year
they choose to schedule it: Coming from the Eugene area, I always hope
the roads are clear, because snow/freezing rain/etc. can be a factor.
All in all, I would say it's definitely worth attending.
