ABeka

I'm new to this group and was wondering if anyone uses ABeka. This is our
second year schooling and I have yet to find a solid Grammar program that is
colorful and self directed. We tried Alpha Omega last year, my 4th grade
(at the time) daughter enjoyed the workbook approach, but in the end the
program was weak and she really lacked a solid base in the basics. This
year I borrowed an old Voyages in English book. The approach is excellent
and provided a solid base, but it was dry and I needed to supplement quite a
bit.

I've seen the ABeka books, but wondered if anyone has used them with great
success. I am one that needs a good teachers manual as I am horrible in
English.
