APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY AND SUSTAINABLE LIVING
Members of Aprovecho Research Institute will discuss and
demonstrate their experimentation with straw bale construction,
solar cooking & heating and efficient wood burning. Aprovecho
recently received a $20,000 grant and another grant to
build a second strawbale building on their Cottage Grove
property.

Portland architect Mark Lakeman will discuss his guerrilla
approach to "intersection repair", his community building
Teahouse events, and recent developments toward pedestrian
equality with cars in the street.
