35 school kids arive Venezuela's border in their way to Manaos (5.600 km on bike)

Dear Friend :
I inform you about the trip Quito - Manaos. Carlos A. returned to Quito on
January 31 with a swelling knee that he can't move, but not because of the
bike but rather because of a soccer game. What most has impressed him from
the journey is the cordiality of the Colombian people. The worst was in the
tract Sibundoy - Mocoa, when the group divided and he had to raid several
kilometers in the darkness, alone.
In a town, whose name I don't know yet, they slept in the jail. The
prisoners were "freed" for that night in order to give room to our kids.
Before they arrived Bogota, they had suffered because of the strong heat in
the region.
The stay in Bogota was reparative. They use the opportunity to visit the
Gold Museum and other nice places.
There have been more sick persons. This problem was solved by sending them
in a buss, with some companion, to the next town.
Today they left from Bucaramanga. They are all fine. This stage will be the
hardest of all the trip, since they will ascend 2.500 meters in 50
kilometers. They will arrive to Cucuta on Saturday , at the Venezuela's
border.
