Susan,
We're a fairly small (130+), quiet group that started to share
information local to homeschooling in the Eugene-Springfield, Oregon area.
We have subscribers from all over now, and every once in a while a
conversation gets going, but mostly I think we're pretty busy.
If you like big newsgroups and active mailing lists, there are some
around. If you go to Jon's Homeschool Resource Page
(http://www.midnightbeach.com/hs) he has info on them.
