Too much attention and not enough separation?

I have heard and can understand various opinions of the home-schooling issue.
However, with public educators, this is exactly why they don't think
home-schooling is best. They don't believe that mom or dad can be a child's
only and best teacher. While this may be true, it doesn't give any reason to
throw the idea of home-schooling out the window. If this works in your
family, FANTASTIC.

However, I believe that your daughter may benefit from extra-curricular
activites where you are not an authority. Try swimming lessons, horse back
lessons, bowling league, roller skating lessons - just something where there
is an instructor is someone other than and not associated with you. This may
encourage your daughter to become more independent and develop friendships
without fighting you. I hope all works out for the best. Letting go can be
difficult, but it is the desired end of our parenting role. See her soar
with success! :)
