Hi everyone!
My apologies to those of you far away, but this is for those in the
Springfield-Eugene (Oregon) area. I've got a queen-size quilt I'm going to
be putting on a frame to hand quilt, and I've got a bunch of basting to be
done that I'd love to have help with.
(Basting is BIG stitches in a 4" checkerboard over most of the
quilt. It holds the three layers of the quilt--top, batting, &
backing--together when I roll it up. That way things don't slip and slide
around, which can really be a disaster.)
I plan to baste this Friday, 1/31, from about 9 am-3 pm, and maybe
Saturday am if we don't get done Friday. Kids are welcome, especially if
they can baste. Too many little ones, though, and we will have a zoo, so
use your judgment.
Contact me if you are interested, and I'll give you my address. No
previous experience is needed. You are welcome to just come for an hour if
you want--every little bit helps. You can even just drop by to see the
quilt and meet my family if you want.
Take care,
jody
