Info-Campus-Free Degrees is a consortium of educators who have taught at the
professional, college or high-school levels, and are experienced in both
traditional and nontraditional education systems. We understand the various
methodologies, such as independent study, correspondence courses, telecourses,
and computer networking, associated with nontraditional education systems. In
January 1997, we began our examination of 242 fully accredited institutions
claiming to have Distance Learning, External Degree or Outreach programs. We
are dedicated to keeping our database current, and examining new programs as
institutions extend their campuses virtually. To date, we have identified
over 100 nontraditional education programs that do not require on campus
attendance. We have mapped the maze for you.
We believe that the accreditation of an institution is extremely important
when choosing a program of study. Although each state may license their
institutions to grant degrees, regional associations established the first
standards for institutional accreditation and should be considered as
screening criteria when selecting your program of study. In addition to only
recommending degree programs that are regionally accredited, we have captured
information on programs that are also accredited by professional national and
specialized agencies.
Once earned, education may never be taken away. In a world of industry
