You are cordially invited to review our solution that utilizes remote sensing data and deep learning algorithms to assist stakeholders in determining forest maps as of December 31, 2020, for EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) compliance.
Notes on Data Sources (for the data used in the above Application):
1. Sentinel-2 Satellite Data:
Resolution: 1 meter / pixel.
Data distribution by month:
July 2020 (1.06%)
August 2020 (0.26%)
September 2020 (31.12%)
October 2020 (17.56%)
November 2020 (14.10%)
December 2020 (35.64%)
January 3, 2021 (0.26%)
Includes all 10 optical multispectral bands to support analysis, interpretation, etc.
The data quality is considered good to excellent; however, the file size is too large for nationwide display on Google Earth Engine platform.
A lighter alternative with a resolution of 2.5 meters / pixel can be considered.
2. Forest Data:
The 2024 Forest Status Map (FRMS) data (extracted from the SNRM2 Project) is used as the base map in the Deforestation Early Warning Application.
The data has been geometrically cleaned.
This data is used solely to illustrate the solution and holds no analytical or legal value.
We look forward to receiving your review and valuable feedback.
Best regards,
VNFRMS Research Team
