here is  a doodle for this thursday. I have the keys and so will probably be ok to open up but i have a friend coming up to stay and just want to check with his plans before i sign up properly.

http://www.doodle.com/xfg7zaud22t8vuy8

perhaps more importantly, we need to think about how this is going to run over the summer (is it possible to keep HS going?) And also to maybe chat about how things are going to work next year... I'm going away, and a few people are finishing uni etc, so I'm just conscious of not wanting to leave a few people  in the lurch. i.e. if we don't have enough people/energy to keep things running, it would be nice for those folk if it's a group decision to deal with that, rather than them just having to deal with it by themselves out of circumstance...
Erm, I'm actually leaving next tuesday (I think it's the 30th)... would anyone want to make a quick meeting in the shop sometime on thursday?

Hiya all,

I think a meeting is definately needed!

was abby thinking of meeting sometime soon or in September to talk about plans with Transition's food project?

One other thing, if we do want to keep going, it might be a good idea to have a stall at fresher's fair. fresher's week begins the 11th Sept... The deadline for getting a stall at fresher's fair is the 28th May (this friday)...

to get it sorted we need to re-register as a society first, which requires 3 signatures of people who are going to be students next year ( I dont think you even have to be here, just as long as youre a student) I think we can use the members' signatures from before.
I'm going to be in hospital in the day all next year so cant be much use for shop shifts, but Im definately up for signing whatever and can also do something in fresher's week as long as 2 other students are willing to sign up as either traesurer, president or vice president...
if anyone is able to sign up, please text my mobile (07971924948) and we can meet up to sort it. the forms can be submitted online...

has anyone seen the half filled in sheets from before? I couldnt find them in the drawer.... not essential but would be useful to track down...

I would be able to meet on thursday... should we say 6.00 at the shop? unless people want to do lots of talking about freshers stuff in which case it would make sense to meet earlier in the week...

blue skies,

yo. I'm gonna be in knockengorroch from tomorrow which is kind of a
shame because I definately think a meeting would be good. I sent out
an email about energy a while ago and no-one really got back which
makes me think we may not be able to keep things going through summer
since people won't be around (me included), but I'd be very happy to
be wrong so let me know the outcome of the meet up. I reckon we may
well have a resurge of energy/people at the beginning of next academic
year so it would be a shame to let things slip altogether. Jess did
say she might know some people who'd be interested in helping out with
Thursday volunteering so she's hopefully going to send me an email
contact. Maybe with them and if we pleadingly contact our whole list
of volunteers we could scrape enough summer people together? Anyway,
keep me updated,
Lucy
p.s. I'll email Abby and say we could potentially be really into doing
some kind of event with them but it hangs on what's happening next year
p.p.s. obviously it would be cool to reregister as a society but I
can't really offer to help with that by friday myself so if no-one's
around to take it on it's probably not the be all and end all if we
let it slip.

Well it looks like not many people would be able to make a meeting tomorrow, so i guess we'll just have to leave it for a while!

Yo guys. Same thing again, I have the shop keys but am heading for
London. Haven't been able to find anyone to pass them onto so I'm just
gonna stash them here at Helianthos (116 Marchmont Rd), on the bed in
the room by the toilet. If you are a wonderful person who's planning
to volunteer on Thurs drop on by and grab them, people should be
around to let you in. Sorry for the haphazard nature of the pass on...
If it turns out that Thursday's aren't getting covered I reckon we
need to let Jess know and am happy to email her, so those still in
Edinburgh keep me in the loop of whether the shop is actually being
covered or not...right. Much love to you all and catch everyone when
we're all back in the burgh

Nice one Lucy.

found this thought it was an interesting co-op read, bit theory heavy, and 'i'mmoreradicalthanthou'ish, but some food for thought as well:
