TEU and HS collaboration meeting minutes

Hi Guys,
Here's what came up and was decided at the meeting today:

Hearty Squirrel and TEU – meeting 22 Nov 2010

 

The situation with TEU:

-          They are selling Veg bags: delivered by Damhead and sold on a one-day stall to students £4 + £1 for the bag.

-          This has been trialled once in George square and once in KB and this was received very enthusiastically by students! They are now discussing how to take this forward.

 

The best option for us now is for Hearty Squirrel to join with the TEU food group – HS could be the ‘selling arm’ of the food group, working on veg bags and Green city orders. Volunteers/members of each would be combined, with the “Hearty Squirrel” being the selling side and other things (procurement, publicity of ethical foods) being addressed by another arm of the group. Individuals would get the choice of which bit they can work on, of course - so you could continue to only work on cooperative/ordering side of things without worrying about the rest of the food group and veg bags etc.

 

The TEU food group meets on Tuesday evenings 7pm – email ro...@teu.org.uk if you want to go to find out where it is.

 

For now, from HS side, we will concentrate on getting space for storage before moving on and taking orders again.
