When I first decided to take euclid public, I was in a bit of a hurry to get it things done. My research into hosting options was less-than-complete.
Anyway, while googlecode has been great for some things, I've found it generally crippled.
So this past weekend I finally took some time and set up an account for euclid on sourceforge (and boy is it nice!).
For the moment the following will remain on googlecode:
*The svn repository: Long term I don't know where this will go or what version control system I will opt for. More research needs to be done. As of now, svn at googlecode is working.
*The downloads. Googlecode's download service suits me more-or-less fine. So the tarballs will be accessible from the same spot as usual.
*The issue tracker. I have a couple complains (people must have google accounts to submit bugs, I don't get automatically notified of new bugs). Not sure what options I have on this front. Again, for now, it will stay put.
*the googlegroups mailing list is also staying at googlegroups for the moment, but I'm interested in finding a more bare-bones service.
So what has moved?
Almost all the wiki content has been rewritten, streamlined, and migrated to euclid's very own new website:
euclid-wm.sourceforge.net
Not everything is done yet, and I consciously dropped some content, because I really don't think people care about some of it.
You can preview it if you like.
Please let me know if something is broken, misspelled, or otherwise bad.
Cheers,
Will
